What can love mean in a time of growing polarization? Can it be more than emotion — a form of moral resistance, spiritual endurance, and a force for political transformation?
In this special evening, The Amargi invites you to an in-depth conversation with Bakhtiyar Ali, one of the most celebrated Kurdish novelists of our time. Drawing on his novels, he will reflect on love in Kurdish and wider Middle Eastern literature, and ask whether love can withstand — and perhaps overcome — hatred amid the rise of neo-fascism and Islamist extremism.
The program also includes live music, time for informal exchange, and a shared closing gathering.
